In 2024-2025, the Quasar saxophone quartet celebrates its 30th anniversary in style!

For this fifth edition, Quasar will be presenting a series of alley concerts in Montreal for the third year running, in collaboration with the Journées des ruelles vertes: Ruelle des PasSages, Ruelle , Ruelle aux mille oiseaux, Ruelle entre quatre rues, Ruelle Walker-Greene, Ruelle La Cabriole.

T-shirts ($20 incl. tax) and CDs ($10 incl. tax) will be available for purchase at the concerts. Have your cash ready!

The Escouades aim to celebrate, share and surprise by presenting a deeply original and flamboyant program. True spontaneous concerts, the Escouades bring new music to the heart of the city! They appear in different neighborhoods and public places to meet citizens in unexpected places. A true journey, a refreshing musical escapade, a window that opens on another world.

For this fifth edition, Quasar will be back in Quebec City for a first collaboration with Nature Québec, to present five concerts in various green alleyways throughout the city.

Montréal, May 15, 2024 — Today marks the start of Quasar's spring European tour, featuring residencies, master classes and several concerts. 

BELGIUM
From May 15 to 18, Quasar is in Belgium for two concerts and a residency with composition classes from the conservatoires of Liège and Mons. The program for both concerts will feature works by the participating students.

Next summer, Quasar members will have the honour of holding courses, workshops, conferences and master classes as artists in residence at Domaine Forget, as part of the very first saxophone internship offered by the academy.

From June 23rd to 29th, 2024, advanced saxophonists (minimum age: 16 years) will be able to come and hone their skills with the quartet, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year as well.
