Montreal, August 27, 2026 Before unveiling its full season programming, Quasar saxophone quartet extends the summer with the return of the Escouades Musicales Urbaines Contemporaines (EMUC). These free outdoor concerts highlight the meeting point between new music, classical music, jazz, and the Montréal public. For this seventh edition, the quartet renews its collaboration with the Journées des ruelles vertes, presenting four concerts in various neighbourhoods across the city.

Montréal, February 11, 2026 — The Montreal-based Quasar Saxophone Quartet will embark on a major Canadian tour, reaffirming its position as a leading force in contemporary music. Traveling from St. John’s to Winnipeg, with key stops in Edmonton, the quartet will present a series of performances and collaborations that highlight its ongoing commitment to musical creation, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

*NEW* SAXOPHONE COURSE

Next summer, Quasar members will have the honour of holding courses, workshops, conferences and master classes as artists in residence at Domaine Forget, as part of the very first saxophone internship offered by the academy.

From June 23rd to 29th, 2024, advanced saxophonists (minimum age: 16 years) will be able to come and hone their skills with the quartet, which will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year as well.
