Ciné-Quasar - Quasar Unveils Digital Triptych and Celebrates Three Decades
Montreal, November 21, 2024 - On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Quasar unveils its digital triptych of art films in a special film screening event, in the company of long-time collaborators and friends. Come and (re)discover Sonia Paço-Rocchia's Ode au Métal, Walter Boudreau's Chaleurs and Thierry Tidrow's Entre Nous in all their splendor in video format, with behind-the-scenes access to the creation of these three landmark shows in Quasar's career, thanks to three short documentaries by filmmakers Simon Roberge and Sagerpreet Singh.
Quasar's digital triptych of art films is a long-term project driven by a desire to create a digital heritage of works that are, by nature, ephemeral, and to democratize artworks by making them accessible to audiences far from major centers. For the occasion, Quasar has surrounded itself with talented artists who have joined forces to present concerts of the highest quality. It's also a milestone in the career of the saxophone quartet, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
The event will be held at Le Vivier's new premises in a friendly, festive atmosphere. Film screenings will be punctuated by speeches, refreshment breaks and plenty of surprises! Entrances and exits will be permitted throughout the event to accommodate everyone's preferences and schedules.
