The next edition of the Quasar Studio Club will be held on Monday June 1st at 5:00pm,with the participation of Jérôme Minière !

Quasar Studio Club is back in action to celebrate the reopening of our recording studio! The members of the quartet will be reunited in person after several months of confinement. To underscore this event, we will be welcoming the one and only Jérôme Minière via video in real time for the performance of certain works from our concert-event Je ne suis pas un robot!

The 2nd edition of the Quasar Studio Club will be held on April 24th a 4:00pm on Facebook Live !

The 8th Electro Series takes off!

In the first week of December, our four guest composers arrived in Montreal to begin a week of creating.in residence and for the following five days Myriam Bleau, Gene Coleman, Örjan Sandred and Bertrand Dubedout (here from France!) created and explored the far reaches of electronic music.

QUASAR AT 25!

To celebrate its 25 years with great ceremony, Quasar has the honour of being invited by Arte Musica to come and present an anniversary concert at the magnificent Salle Bourgie at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts! On the menu, five works that have marked Quasar's career, including Quatuor op.102 by Florent Schmitt, performed at the ensemble's very first concert on November 25th, 1994.

QUASAR-CHESTRA II

On November 17th, Quasar and Le Vivier present Quasar-Chestra II, a real celebration of the saxophone in all its forms and in all its splendors! With Quasar, the Stockholms Saxofonkvarttet and saxophonist students from the Schulich School of Music at McGill University all on stage!

On September 26th and 27th, at Camp Éthel on the Promenade Wellington, we are joining forces with the Escales improbables de Montréal to present Je ne suis pas un robot, a tragicomic and experimental technopéraballet of sorts!

From August 22 to 25, 2019, we will be taking part in SALT 2019: New Music Festival and Symposium, at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. A must for new music, this new version of the SALT Festival, presented by the Tsilumos Ensemble, will feature a rich and varied program. We will have the chance to participate in three concerts, including a reprise of Territoires sonores.
