Quasar goes on a European tour!

International collaborations are back for Quasar!


Montreal, October 26, 2021 — Only a week after QUÉBEC-PAYS-BASQUE, our concert with Trio Zukan co-produced by the Groupe le Vivier, Quasar flies to Västerås, Sweden, where they will perform the first of a nine-concert series in Europe. There will be some collaborations with European ensembles, workshops and masterclasses, festival entries and many international premieres from Quebec and international composers.

First and foremost, Quasar will perform in Sweden twice with the Stockholm Saxophone Quartet :
•    October 29th in Västerås / Details

Then, we are going to Germany to give some workshops and a concert at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München :

Still in Germany, Quasar will take part in the Festival Now! Micro-Macro edition, produced py the Essen Philharmonie :

Quasar will then go to Belgium for two concerts at the Festival Images Sonores. These concerts are the result of a collaboration between the Liege Royal Conservatory, Mon Royal Conservatory, Henri Pousseur Center and Quasar :

Back in Germany, Quasar will perform twice in collaboration with the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. First, a concert in the Sprengel Museum Hannover, where Quasar will present the works of composition students from Düsseldorf and Hannover. Afterwards, the quartet will participate in the Lange Nacht der Neuen Musik (Long Night of New Music) produced by the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. Diverse ensembles will share the stage in a seven-hour marathon of international premieres :

Last but not least, Quasar will meet the Trio Zukan, who were in Montreal on October 20th. Both ensembles will present their eclectic collaboration in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Spanish Basque country, for a concert produced by Musikagileak  :
