Description
After the success of the Montréal-Mexico project in 2023, Quasar – saxophone quartet is proud to announce the renewal of its collaboration with the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey (ESMDM). This new transcultural initiative will bring together the worlds of contemporary music and dance from Quebec and Mexico through an ambitious production.
The project will unite five composers and choreographers from both communities, who will work in tandem to create five original works performed by six dancers from ESMDM. The concert will be presented as part of the Semaine du Neuf, under the theme of music and movement. This evening promises original works where the richness of musical languages blends with the power of movement, echoing the festival’s theme.
