A leading figure in Quebec dance, Danièle Desnoyers founded Le Carré des Lombes in 1989, a company through which she has created more than twenty landmark works presented in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. Her repertoire reflects an artistic approach rooted in the interdisciplinary resonances between the body, the diversity of music and the visual arts.

The choreographer has also produced around ten commissioned works for Canadian and international institutions. With Le Carré des Lombes, she has been welcomed in residence on numerous occasions and has received support from many national and international co-producers. A committed artist and educator, she teaches in the Dance Department at UQAM, where she received most of her professional training from 2012 to 2025.
