EMUC are back for a fourth edition

Quasar returns with a fourth edition of their Escouades Musicales Urbaines Contemporaines in Montreal's green alleyways
Montreal, August 8th 2023 – Quasar quatuor de saxophones launches its 2023-2024 season with the return of the EMUC, spontaneous and free outdoor concerts promoting the encounters between contemporary music and the Montreal public. For this fourth edition, the quartet renews its collaboration with the Journées des ruelles vertes for 6 concerts in various Montreal neighborhoods, plus 2 concerts in front of the Église Sainte-Cécile, for a total of 8 concerts over the weekend of September 8-10.
In the event of adverse weather conditions, the EMUC concerts will be postponed to the following weekend, September 15-17. Any postponement will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
About the EMUC
Supported by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), and Music Performance Trust Fun (MPTF) the Escouades aim to celebrate, share and surprise by presenting a deeply original and flamboyant program. True spontaneous concerts, the Escouades bring new music to the heart of the city, and sometimes even to the whole province of Quebec! They appear in different neighborhoods and public places to meet citizens in unexpected places. A true journey, a refreshing musical escapade, a window that opens on another world.
