USA and Mexico
February 20 to March 11, 2020
We have the privilege of taking off for the south in the middle of winter for a tour to the USA and Mexico ! First stop, Seattle, where we will co-present, with SoundX, a concert at the magnificent Christ Our Hope Catholic Church. Notably, we will perform the world premiere of the newest work by our host, Donald J. Stewart! Leaving the next day for the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics at Stanford University, a week-long creation residency awaits us, among graduate composers, all culminating with a unique concert presented on the CCRMA Stage on February 29th, followed by a studio recording the day after.
With hardly time to catch our breath, we travel on to Morelia, in northern Mexico. Following a workshop on March 5th with saxophone and composition students, we are presenting a concert for the general public at the Casa de la Cultura of CCMAS, on March 6th. Our last stop will be at la Escuela Superior de Musica y Danza of Monterrey to present a final concert on March 10th. The programme will include the the newest creation of Homero Salazar.
We return on March 11th, hopefully in time to take in the last snowfalls of the season!
