A meeting of two cultures, two music, two traditions. Creations by both Quebec and Basque composers will have Quasar and the Zukan Trio united in an unprecedented convergence! Following a cultural exchange in Spanish Basque Country, the idea to create an encounter of the world of new music from Quebec and Basque was born. The Zukan Trio embodies its culture in a forthright manner: combining contemporary and traditional instrumentation through percussion, accordion and txistu (a Basque flute). Quasar is committed to the creation of contemporary music across multiple innovative approaches.
