Miguel Matamoro (1991) is a Galician composer and pianist. His work spans orchestral, electronic, choral, and chamber music, and has been performed by ensembles such as the Basque Symphony Orchestra, the Galicia Philharmonic Orchestra, the Leoš Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra, Zukan Trio, Quasar, Espai Sonor, Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, and Arxis Ensemble. He has received commissions from the Galician Council of Culture as well as several distinctions, including the EMCW Award and a Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards. In addition to composing for film, dance, and installations, he performs his own piano repertoire in concert, published by Navona Records and Creotz Music.
