Last May 30th and 31st, Quasar was drawing a veritable sonic portrait of new Canadian music by bringing to life eight new works by the country's most talented and inspiring composers. The result of a series of “carte blanche” research and creation workshops carried out alongside the members of Quasar in the Fall of 2017, the works in the programme constitute an exciting contemporary anthology attesting to the diversity, creativity and richness of Canadian artistic expression: a venue of gathering, sharing and exchange for the artistic community and the public.
