    refers to the overall character of the work.

Room is also given to lyricism and solo passages
and virtuosity.

 

Commissioned by the Fund for the Creation of music, Zest was composed for the Aurelia Quartet & the Slagwerkgroep Den Haag,

Quasar and Sixtrum percussion ensemble gave the North American premiere of Zest on December 13 2007 as part of the In Tempo concert.
