Mykolas Natalevičius

Mykolas Natalevicius (born 1985, Vilnius) is a young Lithuanian musician employed in various fields of music, beginning with acoustic instrumental music, to the experimental electronics. Mykolas’ works area is of extremely wide range. It involves composing, playing piano and organ, singing and conducting. This is even more surprising given that Mykolas began to study music at the age of sixteen. His work for symphony orchestra, choir, musical theatre, drama performances and films received numerous awards in competitions and festivals in Lithuania and abroad. In 2012, he also was awarded the Young Artist Prize by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture. In 2015, he defended his doctoral thesis about drone music. Now he is an associate professor at the Lithuania Academy of Music. In 2017, he is elected chairman of Lithuanian Composers' Union.
