Alexander Strauch

Alexander Strauch (b. 1971) lives and works in Munich. From 1992 to 2000, he studied composition with Hans Zender and Isabel Mundry, among others, at the music universities in Frankfurt/Main and Munich. He is actively involved with the aDevantgarde Festival Munich (currently as co-artistic director). Together with other musicians, he co-founded NKM – Neues Kollektiv München.
His major compositions have been performed by the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the State Operas of Munich and Dresden, the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the Thuringian Symphony Orchestra, piano possibile Munich, Ensemble JungMusik Berlin, Ensemble MietPlus, LJNM Thuringia, JUMBLE Bavaria, the MGNM Festival Ensemble, the Rainbow Sound Orchestra Munich, Christopher Robson, Carin Levine, Ensemble Schwerpunkt/ensemble risonanze erranti, Wu Wei, Angela Metzger, Moritz Eggert, and many others.
