The Quasar Saxophone Quartet invites the public to attend the public workshop concluding its upcoming artistic residency as part of the 10th edition of the Electro Series, an initiative that has been merging the worlds of acoustic music and technology since 2003.

This autumn residency will be held in Quasar's studio and will bring together an exceptional international cast: Corie Rose Soumah, Oliver Schneller, Alithéa Ripoll and Gordon Fitzell. Over several days, these composers will work closely with the quartet members to explore the possibilities offered by electronics, immersive environments and dialogues between acoustic instruments and digital technologies.

The public workshop, the highlight of this residency, will offer spectators an immersion in the processes of contemporary sound creation. It will be a unique opportunity to discover the works in progress, exchange with the artists and better understand the aesthetic and technical challenges of mixed music.

On April, 24th 2026, a concert will be held in Montreal to present the results of the work of Quasar and the composers.
