New pieces of Corie Rose Soumah, Oliver Schneller, Alithéa Ripoll and Gordon Fitzell

Description

After opening the doors to its creative process during a public workshop last November, the Quasar Saxophone Quartet will unveil the works developed during its artistic residency on April 24, 2026, as part of the 10th edition of the Electro Series.

This residency brought together an exceptional international lineup—Corie Rose Soumah, Oliver Schneller, Alithéa Ripoll, and Gordon Fitzell—for several days of in-depth exploration of the possibilities offered by electronics, immersive environments, and the dialogue between acoustic instruments and digital technologies.

From Fitzell’s multimedia liminality to Schneller’s aquatic sound materials rooted in ecological concerns, through Soumah’s queer and ephemeral perspectives and Ripoll’s mixed and gestural explorations, each work reveals a singular artistic universe shaped through close collaboration with the members of Quasar.

This evening promises a deep dive into the world of an adventurous quartet, where innovation, refined compositional writing, and sonic boldness come together to celebrate the music of today.
