Les 30 et 31 mai derniers, Quasar dressait un véritable portrait sonore des musiques nouvelles canadiennes en donnant vie à huit créations de compositeurs des plus talentueux et des plus inspirants au pays. Résultat d’une série d’ateliers « carte blanche » de recherche et de création auprès des interprètes de Quasar à l’automne 2017, les œuvres au programme constituent une anthologie actuelle et vibrante témoignant de la diversité, de la créativité et de la richesse de l’expression artistique canadienne; un lieu de rassemblement, de partage et d’échanges pour la communauté des artistes et pour le public.

Opening act: Nova Collective
Last May 30th and 31st, Quasar was drawing a veritable sonic portrait of new Canadian music by bringing to life eight new works by the country's most talented and inspiring composers. The result of a series of “carte blanche” research and creation workshops carried out alongside the members of Quasar in the Fall of 2017, the works in the programme constitute an exciting contemporary anthology attesting to the diversity, creativity and richness of Canadian artistic expression: a venue of gathering, sharing and exchange for the artistic community and the public.
