From Bach to Zappa
Attending the From Bach to Zappa concert is like stepping into a spaceship of eclecticism for a great adventure! Between the worlds of the great baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach and that of Frank Zappa, with one ironic and iconic turn after the next, the distance is - to say the least - cosmic. But we cross it briskly! Throughout this hyperspace, you will encounter Alexandre Glazounov, who offers us his unique romantic masterpiece, Concerto for saxophones no. 109, as well as Will Gregory, whose piece will make the baritone sax “dance a jig”. Montreal composers Gilles Tremblay and Michel Frigon are also a part of the adventure, and share with us their fascinating musical galaxies. Fasten your seat belts!
