Intercontinental Dialogues
Montreal/New Musics Festival
Concert
Description
As part of the 11th edition of the Montreal/New Musics Festival - Music and Spirituality, Quasar presents Intercontinental Dialogues.
On March 4th, the musicians of Quasar saxophone quartet, live from Montreal, will engage in an intercontinental dialogue with the Mixtura Ensemble, Kai Wessel, Hans Knut Sveen and Jostein Gundersen (Bergen) and Andrea Nagy (Freiburg). Simultaneously, spectators and performers in the three cities on both sides of the Atlantic will live a unique facet of the same musical experience imagined by the composers. The different sound spaces will meet, forming new and unique musical combinations, thanks to a daring use of technological tools such as live streaming and artificial intelligence.
This concert is part of the Sounding Philosophy research project initiated by Dániel Péter Biró.
