Quasar saxophone quartet will be in a professional development residency at the Centre d’Expérimentation Musicale (CEM) in the month of December to present the concert Ode au métal.

International collaborations are back for Quasar!


Montreal, October 26, 2021 — Only a week after QUÉBEC-PAYS-BASQUE, our concert with Trio Zukan co-produced by the Groupe le Vivier, Quasar flies to Västerås, Sweden, where they will perform the first of a nine-concert series in Europe. There will be some collaborations with European ensembles, workshops and masterclasses, festival entries and many international premieres from Quebec and international composers.

Longues distances is reprogrammed on June 16th 2021 at 7:30 p.m., as a part of the Spring 2021 season of the Groupe Le Vivier, in live streaming!

Quasar takes in hand its 9th Opus Prize, along with a grant in recognition of its international outreach !

We are still on cloud 9 about the 24th Opus Awards Gala, where we won the “International Outreach” award! A huge thank you to the Conseil québécois de la musique and to CINARS for their consideration!

We are presenting Chaleurs, by Walter Boudreau, this upcoming February 26th!

 

For the 10th edition of the SNCQ's Montreal / New Musics festival, we have the honour of presenting Chaleurs, a monumental work by Walter Boudreau. Accompanying us on stage will be dancer and choreographer Paul-André Fortier.
