Disque Bleu : Quasar launches a sixth album Made In Quebec

Montréal, June 3rd, 2022 – After promoting it exclusively at the 38th Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV), Quasar officially launches their Disque Bleu today on Bandcamp.

This sixth release by QUASAR, dedicated to composers based in Quebec, is a return to their roots with five acoustic works recorded in 2020 at the Chapelle Historique du Bon-Pasteur. Resolutely cosmopolitan in scope, these composers offer contrasting and singular works that testify to the vitality and diversity of the new music scene in Quebec : Ofer PelzI Need To Hear It First (2018), Yannick PlamondonPassage (2019), Émilie Girard-CharestBestiaire (2018), Katia Makdissi-WarrenADN 0,5% (2019) and Michael OesterleSometime (2004).

The Quasar saxophone quartet is passionate about the music of its time and dedicated to the creation and promotion of contemporary music. The ensemble has been awarded 9 OPUS prizes by the Conseil Québécois de la musique, including "Artist of the Year".
